Star Gate Ranch is located between the Sawtooth Mountain Range and the Great Snake River, near the town of Dietrich Idaho. We’re a multi-generational family owned cattle operation that started in the 1960’s with 12 Hereford heifers. Today our operation consists of more than 300 mother cows divided into both registered Angus and crossbred commercial programs.
At Star Gate Ranch we believe that our basis for success lies in a moderate framed, structurally correct, easy fleshing, and docile cow herd. We select our cattle based on both eye appeal and performance; utilizing true multiple trait selection. Our extensive efforts in AI, IVF, Embryo Transfer, and sound management practices result in quality seed stock at a reasonable price. As a result we have the utmost confidence in the bulls we sell. This allows us to offer a 4 year warranty with each virgin 2 year old bull sold, instilling that same confidence in our loyal customers.
